Dr. Miller joins the eMed team as the President of eMed Labs, where he oversees the innovation of cutting-edge testing solutions and our in-house laboratory operation that enables at-home administration of Abbott Laboratories’ BinaxNOW COVID-19 tests in compliance with FDA regulations. 

An engineer and multidisciplinary organizational architect, Sam Miller has 20 years of experience innovating and problem-solving in technology, from device and software to user experience and interface. 

Before joining eMed, Dr. Miller served as Vice President of Product Strategy at Magic Leap, an augmented reality startup that uses mixed reality smart glasses to bring digital images to life. At Magic Leap, which he co-founded, Dr. Miller was responsible for leading teams of engineers, scientists, mathematicians, physicists and psychologists to build out technologies for the company’s AI platforms.

Previously, Dr. Miller spent over a decade as an engineer at NASA, where he led a geospatial data visualization group. In that role, he developed camera systems for the MISSE-X International Space Station Project and provided architectural support for similar docking, imaging and holomonic robotic systems on other critical NASA initiatives, including the MLAS rocket.
